Default connect to SQL Server terminate

Hello, I have a problem, I 'm using vb6 and SQL server 2k all in the same machine, but now I have to move to a SQL server terminate, and the program to the user terminate, but I can't connect with ODBC the SQL server, there are someone who know what is the problem, and how can I resolve it ??, please is a amargency

Post your code... I assume when you say terminate you mean terminal or basically a computer?? Can you ping the server? From the command prompt type ping and the ip address of the server. Are you connecting with SQL security or through a NT domain?

yes,waht I mean is a terminal PC and I can ping it, and I can enter with a remote control, and I have a SQL server installed and it's running well, but I can't connect with ODBC it. when the ODBC ask me "which server do you want to connect" I wrote the ip number, the terminal SQL name, and togethe, but nothing, so this is my problem
