Hi everyone. One of my friend told me that when the time expired error comes after a long time in a sql server connection it could be because of the huge Transaction log file of that particular database.
Can any one please tell me how do we truncate or minimize the size of the transaction log file of a database. SOme one please help me out with this one.

If using ADO to connect and execute queries in SQL Server, have you checked the CommandTimeout property? Try to change to 300 seconds (5 minutes) or any other value that is larger than default value.
