Default Rownum is SQL SERVER

I am using Sql server with php . i need help what will be there instead of rownum in sql server. rownum works in Oracle and MySql but not in SQL server . if some one know then plz share it.

Sadly , there is no rownum or rowid in sql server .But there is workaround , Refer to this

If you can upgrade to SQL 2005 then you can use ROW_NUMBER().

If you would post what you are actually trying to do, there are several work arounds in SQL Server 2000.
