Default DTS _ error 9002

Hi ,
I have a big pb with my SQL server data base. When i use DTS for voluminous data, the log file become full and it doesn't let me do anything in the database. It displays the error message :
" error 9002 : the log file for database "xxx" is full. Backup the transaction log for the data base to free up some space "

What i have to do ? Please help me.
