Default Maintenance Job

I made a Maintenance plan for my SQL 2005 databases, that include
Back Up Database Task, Maintenance Cleanup Task and Shrink Database Task in ordered way. and link thier arrows so the first is bkup and the last is shrink.
The problem is there is no errors message or logs indicating that there is an error!!!.
Note: I check my backup file results and notice that some days its delete the old files and somedays its not delete the old files (I set to delete old file that is older than 2 days).

Mohd,

Did you configure Logging on the Maintenance Plan page? There are two buttons on the Maintenance plan page, one for "Connections", and one for "Logging". Clicking on the Logging button will let you configure logging and even email the logging report to you. Any errors should be reported in the log.
