Default About Reminders in Sql Server 2000

Hello friends,
  I m using sql server 2000 and asp.net 2.0
 I have made one program through which i can set reminder details such as name, start date and interval(1 month,1 week),emailids and store all these information on one table.
 Now i want to send mail to that email on that day.
So plze tell me how to do this?

you need to setup email on the server to allow it to use sql functions to send emails. Then you need to setup a job that runs at least once a day, does whatever logic you need and sends emails. I think it's called something like xpmail? You can find it in the help files. But you need to configure the server to communicate with an email server for this to work.
