I've setup the mirroring and everytime I try to connect it says it can't establish a connection. I verified that the Database Mirror Endpoints are listening by running "netstat -a". however, the endpoints have a red colored box around them, I'm guessing that means there's an error. Any ideas?

The server network address "TCP://MACHINE:1230" can not be reached or does not exist. Check the network address name and that the ports for the local and remote endpoints are operational. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error 1418)

I used the automated wizard for configuring Security as well as running sql commands by hand and both give me the same result when i click the Start Mirroring button. I have also tried using an IP address in place of the computer name.

The status box just shows This database has not been configured for mirroring.
