Default SQL Server reading from XML

Hi,
I have a requirement which i have no idea how to begin with ...
The requirement is to read data from XML and store it in a table in database.
Is it possible to write a store procedure or a job or something which i can write to do this ..

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Thanks.
