Default Just restored SQL 2000 ro 2008???

Hi to all...

i just restored from a backup SQL 2000 to SQL 2008...
everythink worked and successfully...

i find when i run a store procedure in a query its taking longer then what it took me in SQL 2000... is this possible...
its a really fast server...
the index are there???

Does anyone know why????
