Hi
I m using sql server 2008.

I moved a database from one server to another by performing a backup/restore operation. All the database specific sql logins came with the restore, and all permissions remained intact. however these logins do not exist at the server level on this new server. I manually recreated a logins few days back, now i want to give other databse access to the same login, but am keep getting the error message saying something like the log files doesnot exist.....


Any idea how to solve this?

The error message box says:

create failed for user 'abc'

additional information:

-An exception occured while executing a transact-sql statement or batch

- The log for databse 'mydatabse' is not available. check the event log for related error messages. resolve any errors and restart the databse.(microsoft sql server, Error: 9001)
