Losing ODBC connection

I wasn't sure where to post this question. I maintain several machines that are on a corporate vlan that connect to a Server 2000 box that host a sql database. One of the nine machines seems to loose it's connection to the sql data base until I reboot. I will work for a while but seems to lose it when machine is not used for a while. It connects TCIP and using the sql authenications.
