I'm a good C programmer and have some experience in C++. But I'm completely new to the windows oriented programmation. In fact I don't even know if I need Visual Studio which I don't have. Do someone can help me please.

Thank you very much,

I would use Visual C++ and ADO as support for DAO is going away and ADO can be used in VB, C++ or C#/.Net.
