Default FTP TASK

I am having some problems with the FTP Task. I am able to connect to my ftp site but I am not able to see the folders and or directories on that site. I can use any other FTP programs to access the same FTP site and able to see the directories and folders. Does anyone have an idea as to the cause of this?

Could this be an issue with a root folder? Do you need to specify a root folder when you login to FTP or could the SQL task be sending you to a different folder on the FTP site?

to be clear; just say the ip address was 127.0.0.1.
and I am giving the path of homesrvftp. should I use the the path as 127.0.0.1/homesrvftp?

like I mention before using ws_ftp I can see all folders connecting to that ftp site.

I appreciate your quick response, it offers other ways of thinking.

In WS_FTP you can set the "initial remote site folder" in the startup tab. If you are specifying a folder here, you need to also do so in the SQL task. I looked at the FTP task and I don't see anything that allows you to do this. :(

I don't know if using the path you suggest will work or not. This seems like a major limitation with the FTP task unless we are missing something.

Thank you so much. I have tried everything I know to get this working. I am hoping someone out there has a solution. I will go back to the owner of the FTP site and request if they can open a specific folder for that specific IP address. I will keep checking on this post and if a solution is found; I will post it.
