Default Logger.getInstance in Action Class

In action class,
we are writing code as follows

public class MyClassAction
    extends
        BaseAction
{
 private static final Logger LOGSERVICE = Logger
        .getInstance(MyClassAction.class.getName());

----
}
But Logger.getInstance is a deprecate method
Give me any alternate to this as ASAP.

Thanks & Regards,
Venkat.

If you're using the most common configuration, java.util.logging on JDK 1.5, I don't see how you would be running into this problem. What package are you using for the Logger package? What JVM are you running on?
