How to play music

Dear All Programmers,
Thanx to all in advance.
I want to make a programme in Vb 6 which plays a tune like Mobile ring tone. Can anyone give the Idea how to do this kind of programming.

check out the media control, but chances are you will have to use the DirectX api

In the old BASIC and BASICA programming, there used to be a PLAY command that you just told it the frequency and duration and the computer's default BEEP would play the tone. Did they get rid of that VBA?

You can use the Beep API:
