Default how to get rid of &nsbp;

Hello All,
VB.NET web app SQL Server 2000

When the user views/edits a record, &nsbp; is displayed in the textbox fields that were left blank. It is not actually being saved in the database. Does anyone know how to get rid of it?:( Please:D

Thank you,
Lee
