Default Can Open/save dialog box be eliminated?

Dear experts,
I am a newbie in VBscript and security. I would be very appreciated if someone would share their expertise and experience in the related areas. I created an .exe file that is being download and stored on the user's computer. It is a one-time installation. Whenever user clicks on a button (from the website-internet)to call the .exe file, a download dialog box will appear. The message is as follow :" Would you like to open the file or save it onto your computer? Open/save" My concern is, how can I eliminate this dialog box for a smoother transition? Any suggestions or ideas are highly appreciated. Hope to hear some reply soon.

Thanks in advance,

I think that is default property of Browser to show the dialog box, if I am not wrong.

Yes, and there's no changing it, even by the user, AFAIK. Without this box, you could download any number of things to the clients computer without him even knowing (very major security issue).

To accomplish this you would probably have to write an application that the user has to download, but only once. Then you would somehow have to communicate with that .exe program to get permission to download it. It is all very complicated, I don't know how to do it or in what language or anything, but I've seen it done, for example at IGN.com.

Hope that clears things up.
