Can I still use SQL Server 2000 with VB 2005? I have not seen or touch any code of VB 2005. I have been programming in VB 6.0 and just ordered a book on VB 2005 and the software. Do need to get SQL Server 2005 to use with VB 2005 or is it backward compatible that it will let me use my old SQL Server 2000?

Yes, you can use SQL Server 2000 in VB 2005. Chances are the book you ordered has a segment on how to connect to it.

If it doesn't, you should be able to Google for it and find several examples/articles or search the ADO.net forum on this site as there are probably some examples there.
