Default refresh of system tray

Our logon scripts sometimes need to kill unwanted processes, but the system tray icons do not disappear. Only by dragging the mouse over the tray do the icons disappear. But since our customer platform do not use the mouse (it is disabled), this is not a solution.

I need to write a small tool to refresh the system tray. I can't find nothing relevant in the MSDN library. Any help is welcome.
