i just wana use webpart in my existing running Portal......
after so many attempts i got success whn i set authentication mode = "windows" ...
but it is good for nothing.... becoz after that i cant brows my portal only after enter my system password n user id....
so i tried web part in new dummy site....
where i find difference ie.... new experimental site there is one table named "aspnet_PersonalizationPerUser" had new entry of user ... which i had created.... and its run well .....
in both sites win.config file is same.....

So i found conclusion that in my existing portal ....there is no entries in "aspnet_PersonalizationPerUser" thats why i found error msg of "The specified display mode is currently disabled on this page. Make sure personalization is enabled for the current user".....

M i right ??????????????????

if yes .. then how can i personalize my existing users.....
i also tried to update "aspnet_PersonalizationPerUser" with exiting users but it fails ......

pls show me the way....
