Default New to Visual Studio Net and VB.Net

I am a new user to .Net. I have Visual Studio 2005 installed in my PC:
    Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Version 8.0.50727.42 (RTM.050727-4200)
    Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0.50727

Installed Edition: Enterprise Microsoft Visual Basic 2005
    Plus more.

I am using the book "Professional VB.Net from WROX ISBN 1-861004-97-4.

Question? What version ro VB.Net is this book geared to? The examples from the book do not quite match my VB 2005 in my pc.

What book should I use for Visual Studio and VB 2005? Or are my setting not set properly.

It appears this book is for one of the original framework versions. However, I would think there is very little (if anything) that a book targeted at 1.x has that the 2.0 framework doesn't support. What kind of differences are you seeing?

Thanks Dude for your great insight....

Just because it says professional it does not mean it is STRICTLY for professional users or only professional users can understand it. I do have the fundamentals of VB I just want to bring it all together.

Once again ... which book is the replacement to this one. I have not found it yet.

Once again, Thanks!

Hi Rookie. :) Sorry I missed your book question the first time around. The VB book you need is:
http://www.wrox.com/WileyCDA/WroxTit...764575368.html
Professional VB 2005
Hope this helps!
