hey - can someone please advise me on how to create dependent dropdown lists using vb.net? i am using visual studio as my developing environment...

i want the 2nd ddl to be dependent on the selection of the 1st and the 3rd to be dependent on the 2nd... the ddl auto postback is set to true but (being a beginner), i cant seem to figure out how to create such ddls...

please help... cheers!

(I'll assume you are referring to ASP.net because there is no dropdown list control in windows forms)

On the first two DDLs you use the SelectedIndexChanged event handler to get the data and populate the appropriate downstream dropdown list. The first two controls must have their "AutoPostback" attribute set to True so that changing items in the drop down list in the client browser will actually cause a postback to happen.
