Hello,

All of a sudden, now when I open web projects, I get an error:

THe Web Server reported the following error when attempting to create or open the Web project at the following URL: <url> HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server error.

This happens for every web project, and it even blocks me from creating new projects. However, when I open one, I can still edit it.

Any ideas?

Hello,

I found the problem; the ASPNET account didn't have access to the windows\assembly folder, which houses the GAC. When the account didn't have read rights, that caused problems.
