help with iis and service pack 2

I am trying to get back to my programming activities and after installing xp service pack 2 I can't seem to get iis to respond to anything. I have disabled simple file sharing and my windows firewall but that diesn't seem to solev it. Can anyone offer some suggestions. TIA
