Im new to .net trying to learn thru your books

I try to run the HR Sample Application from Visual Basic .Net and SQL Server 2000:Building an effective Data Layer. It looks like it not working particurlarly the "cboDepartment" when click nothing no valuemember is being displayed. is there any more things todo before it works, database is flooded of data.

HR sample application was retype, the book say "Update and Source Code at www.wrox.com, but cannot find it.
