The book your describing never existed.

There was a book called "Beginning Java 2 JDK 1.3 Edition"

Notice, it's JDK not SDK.

The JDK book is owned by Apress- as are all books that Wiley/Wrox did not buy (and as explained in numerous places on the site- including the downloads page)
