Default Unicode support for an Xcode Application

Hi,
I have a Xcode project with unicode supported c++ standard library function calls. But i am getting compilation errors only in these function calls. This was earlier successfully bulid on another MAC machine. How can i enable support for these functions(i think it is due to the absence the of UNICODE support, if it is how can i enable it)?..

                                                         Thanks,
                                                       Subhash P K
