Default Development environment recommedations

I don't know if something like this even exists... I'm really new to the whole XSL/XPath thing. What I would find really helpful is a GUI program that would display my XML document and let me click on one element, then another, and have the program generate the XPath statement between the two. Anyone seen something like this? It doesn't need to be fancy, as this wouldn't be a permanent thing - I'm a Notepad coder once I learn the syntax of a language. But it would be a really useful learning tool.

I have no personal experience but I believe Altova's XMLSpy and MarrowSoft's Xselerator have similar features.
Both used to have a free trial version available.

XML Spy can't do this, it can only generate the XPath from the root element to a selected element - the closest thing it has is the ability to select a node and open a separate XPath evaluator window, which will show matching elements for any XPath which *you type*.

Thanks for all the posts. I downloaded the Altova trial, and even though it doesn't have the feature I was looking for, it's a really cool environment and I may continue to use it. I'll take a look at the others.

And you can also enhance XMLSpy with Plugins. Take a look at http://www.spycomponents.com

File Commander PRO - Add file functionalities!
ValidatorBuddy - Use Xerces and Saxon directly in XMLSpy!
XSignTool for Authentic - Sign and verify documents in Authentic!
