Hi All,
       I am have the following XML :

       <books>
         <title>complete refrence</title>
         <title>XSLT</title>
         <title>JAVA</title>
         .
         <books>
           <title></title>
           <title></title>
           .
         </books>
       </books>

Now I need to make a new XML using the above XML (using XSL)

   <books>
     <title>title1</title>
     ...
   </books>

   such that if a title in /books is also present in a title in books/books then I will not include it in the final XML.
In short I want to remove the duplicate entries , and I have to include all the titles from books/books.

please help me , i am stuck at this

Usually when people talk about removal of duplicates, you're looking at grouping techniques, and the answer is http://www.jenitennison.com/xslt/grouping

Here I think you're doing something different. Your description of the problem is a bit confusing, but I think you're just looking for

/books/books/title[not(. = /books/title)]
