xHTML to XSL:FO to PDF

I need to create PDF from xHTML. The path to get there is clear:
xHTML via XSLT to XSL:FO via Processor (e.g. Apache FOP) to PDF.
The tedious part is the XSLT. Has anybody a link to a good sample to get started with? I also need to consider images in the HTML (and eventually flash).
