Default Can't install VB.net

I have been trying to install VB.net and it keeps asking for IIS and Front Page - which I have no intention on installing.

How do I get around this? I know that it must be possible as vb.net isn't just for the internet, but the obvious isn't working. I have Windows XP (not the Home version). I have seen a few other topics on this site that discussed this, but couldn't find one that discussed how to solve it.

Thanks!

Catherine

I installed it on my home machine (XP Pro) and it did ask for these items, but I thought there was a method in the dialog box to avoid this - like you had to promise it you weren't going to need certain components, that it then didn't install.

It may be in an earlier screen that you tell it you are not using web components.

I will try to install this tonight and see how I got around it.

Thanks, it doesn't give any options - simply says that it needs those and that I could still work from a remote server.

This is my computer at work, and they won't allow SP2 to be installed for XP, I don't know if this is any of the problem or not. This is a private copy, so I can't ask the gurus for help :)
