Default Detail Section Height

Hi Everyone I'm new to this but here I go. My question is when I change a text box or label property settings on a report for custom formatting, using VBA. It appears I lose any auto formatting features such tightening of the detail section to eliminate unwanted space. The properties I have been trying to use are the visible, top and height properties. If I make something a 0 height I am assuming that the object changed should use no space. If someone can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Rick :)

Default

You might want to change the Can Grow and Can Shrink properties of your controls (including the detail) to Yes
