Default Shrink Detail section on a report

Hi everyone
I have an Access report with an image box and 3 much smaller text boxes in the detail section. I am trying without success to shrink this section when the the image content is null. I have set all the Grow/Shrink properties on the controls (including detail) to yes. Detail height attribute is read only. The image control is set not visible when null and I would like to close up the resulting white space. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you

You could try setting the height of the image control when null.

Thanks for the suggestion. Have tried changing the height of the image control in on_format section. This grows the detail section but reducing the height does not shrink the section. (grow/Shrink both set to yes) Works OK with the variable height text boxes,if the image control is removed. Is there way to conditionally skip to the next section after x number of lines have been printed ??
