Default Calendar control that is not server based

For ASP.NET developed under VB.NET

I need a date picker that does not auto postback.

I cant seem to set autopostback to false on the standard calendar control. Is there any way I can 'modify' the standard calendar
control so that it allows me to set date and only pick it up
when I press a submit button? Otherwise - how else do people do it
on .aspx pages? Do they write their own calendar control?

TIA
