hi all

i am a regualr viewer of this forum, and you all have shared a lot of ideas in this, with which i am trying to learn.
for one of my post, regarding formauthentication, Mr. Parson has advised me that, its good to use builtin login other than writing our own login fucntions.

can anyone share ideas about this further.
i am using ASP.net 2.0

here how will we track the userid, if we use builtin functionalities.

Define "track". Are you trying to track a users page views, orders, etc?

similar to that.
when the user get logged in, i am displaying the user informations along with the order details, which i am doing with the help of userid, returned from a stored procedure, which takes this username and password as parameters.

so if i use membership, how can i get userid
