Default user activation

i have a problem
after filling registration form on web site user is redirected to payment gateway page and if successful in payment gateway page return to welcome page of my application where i activate the user account. i have doubt in my mind if at this particular time before activation user lost his internet connection he will be in non active state. i donot know whether transaction will solve my problem as i have not put my code into that. what's ways are there to get rid of this problem.

thanks......

Is your concern about a single page lifecycle completing or is it about a user completing a series of page hits completely? These are two very different problems.

Generally speaking, a user hit to the server will finish processing even if the user looses connection to the server (assuming you haven't provided checks on the HttpRequest class to check whether the user is still connected). So if you have code that you are concerned about finishing, I can say that it's likely that if the request is received the code will finish.

If you question is about the user finish a series of pages completely then that will depend on how you are maintaining the user's information. Please describe further how you are saving the user's information during the process.

well sir
when user click submit button after filling registration form, his whole information stored in database table membermaster with activated = false and user is redirected to third party payment gateway page where user fill information about credit cards etc. if ppayment gateway deducts amount succesfully it sends user back to my website's welcome page.
which user is redirected to paymentgateway page and which user comes back to welcome page , i am storing values in session. so
when user backs to welcome page i take session value and activate the user.

My question is if before activation he just loss connection how i will activate him.

thanks......

Presumably you have a login/password pair for the user even if they aren't active yet. If the user returns to the site and logs in, you can see they are not active and send them back into the payment process. That's how I would approach it.
