Default device interfacing

how to interface an external device with vb6 via serial port through rs232c
actually some yrs b4 when i used to develop applications in ms quick basic ... i interfaced an electronic balance with my program ... but now i m converting my quick basic application on vb6 ... there4 i m facing this problem ... iz there anyone who can help me

thrs a MSCOMM control in VB6
u can use tht for RS232 interfacing

cud u plz tell me that do i have to add this control from components dialog ...
i cudn't find any control named as MSCOMM ... plz guide me a little bit ... how to use this???

thrs a OnComm event that is used to capture data Received from or Sent to RS232 port
u can luk in MSDN for more details abt how to use it.
