Default VB6 & Cinema 4D Release 6

I want to make games with VB6. Along with that I want to add good detail and backgrounds in my games. I know VB6 is slower then C & C++.
Do you think it is possible to use "VB6" & "Cinema 4D Release 6", to create worlds and backgrounds? Now I might have to decrease the quality alittle so the game want become choppy.
Or how about VB.NET? since that is alittle faster?

Thanks, Brian
