I can see that people want to know how to connect applications to SQL server 2005 instead of SQL Express. I am able to connect SurveyEngine application to SQL 2005 but I could not figure out how to set up logins with "Super Administrator" or "Administrator" Roles. I am using Windows Authentication on SQL server.

I want to assign "Administrator" privilege to a few people and would like to see them to retain ownership of their own survey as they could not manage the other people's survey.

How can I do to set up Administrator for Windows Authentication (Active Directory Users)? Or using with SQL Server 2005? If using SQL Server, how can I assign them roles?

Hi Stuart,

Are you familiar with ASP.NET Membership and Roles? I think those providers will give you what you need.

Check out Chapter 12 - The BugBase for an example implementation using roles.
