i'm doing a website that requires login for the user, when the user forgot their password, i use the wizard of lost password template. the main problem is, when i want to send the password to the user that lost the password, it gives me an error like below :

No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 2001:0:cf2e:308c:1439:3dd:3f57:fefd:80

i've already set smtp email
server : pwincess-PC
server : 25
email : sarah@pcforme.com

Is this related to the book ASP.NET Instant Results? If so, can you specify chapter and/or page number? If not, you're better off posting this in one if the general ASP.NET categories here at P2P as more people will be able to help.

Anyway, take a look at the error message:

No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it

This says that your mail server is refusing a connection. You'll need tot talk to your ISP / the owner of the mail server to resolve this. Maybe you need to pass a user name or password to connect?
