installers are not working
Hi Imar,
I am trying to use installer, but it is giving me error. I am getting same error for every installer for every project and every time I run it.
error is:
"The installer was interrupted before Customer Support site could be installed. You need to restart the installer to try again.
Click Close to exit."
Please tell me why this is happening and would I have to setup IIS after running installer then what is use of installer?

Hi there,
Are you running them from a network locaton?
The installers copy the files and register the sites in IIS. You can easily do this manually, or just open the source in Visual Studio and hit F5.

Hi Imar,
I am installing on my local disk.
And I tried to create installer myself but it simply copied all files to a directory, and did not registered it to IIS. I used setup project.
I searched a lot for it and I did as much I could.
But kindly tell me how do you create installer for database based web site application. The installer should install and configure database driven application automatically. user just needs to click next, next...
All the connection string should be configured and database installed automatically.
I'm using VS 2010

I meant install *from* the local disk, not to.
Not sure if the installer projects that ship with VS support this. There might be commercial projects that enable you to do this.
In addition, search Google for visual studio web packaging which may be what you need.

Hi,
i searched for thhr same, but did not get appropriate results. I want to create installer which installs website on local systems which can be run without internet connection(that is personal use).
