Default Chapter 4: Page 120 - Property value not valid.

(#6)I set the ID to 1stFavoriteLanguage for the DropDownList as directed in the book, but I get a error:

1stFavoriteLanguage is not a valid name for the control
Parameter name: name

Then it reverts back to the orginal id value.

The control prefix is for a list, i.e. "LST" in lower case -> lst (not 1st)

Variable names in .NET can not start with a numeral.

No problem. Those serif fonts will get you sometimes.

Don't be embarrassed... you're not the only one who ran into this. It's indeed a font issue. I've talked to Jim and he said he'll see if there is something that can be improved in future releases....

(Me choosing listFavoriteLanguage to avoid confusion with 1st being one of them of course... ;) )
