I am doing 1st web project in book. It would appear Microsoft's update 4 has changed some of the screens in visual studio express 2013 for the web. The Solution Explorer is now called the Server Explorer & the files listed are different. I don't see any downloads without the update 4 included.

This is going to make following your book much more difficult.

Nope. The Solution Explorer is still called the Solution Explorer and the Server Explorer has been there since the RTM version.

Check under the View menu and see what you have there.
