Post Solution Name is displayed as Localhost_43913(1 Project)

Hello Imar,

In the web site which I created, the Solution Name(i.e., web site name) on top of Solution Explorer is not shown and instead it is displayed as

Solution 'Localhost_43913'(1 Project) instead of Solution 'Site'(1 Project)

The Site hierarchy is

Solution 'Localhost_43913(1 Project)
Site
Demos..
..so on

And my Web Site is listed as Localhost_43913 at recent web site option when I start VS2013.

What happened to the actual Site name?

Thanks.

When does this happen exactly? Seems like you opened one of the parent folders, and not an actual chapter's code.

I'm following the book and created folders from scratch and using the Chapter folders for reference.

I open the Site folder with following hierarchy
C:\BegASPNET\Site.

Today I found out that in Open Web Site Dialog, in Local IIS option(2nd one) the Site name is present and I tried removing it from there and then opened the site as usually from File System option and Localhost thing is gone and everything is normal until I exit VS and re-open the Site.

Also, everytime I do ctrl+shift+s i.e., Save All, VS prompts me to save a .sln, solution file as localhost_.sln.

Thanks.

If you're opening the site's folder through File | Open Web site, it doesn't matter what the name of the solution file is; it could be anything and just helps you understand what site it is about. You can click the Solution in the Solution Explorer and choose File | Save As to give it a new name.

Cheers,

Imar
