Default Service pack updates

The very first time I opened up Visual Studio 2012, I got a pop up message that said that Microsoft needed to install a 585MB new update to Visual Studio 2012 Professional edition. Did anyone else get the same message? Are there service packs that need to be applied to Visual Studio 2012 and Visual Studio Express before you can run them? Does anyone here seen this or not?

Hi there,

Once more: since this is not related to my book directly, please post questions like these in a more general ASP.NET, .NET or Visual Studio category here at http://p2p.wrox.com. This way, you attract more viewers, and we keep this book's forum on topic so people who have the book and come here will quickly find the answers to their questions.

Also, try a Google search for questions like these for "self service". A 10-second Google search for "visual studio 2012 update" takes you here:

http://blogs.msdn.com/b/somasegar/ar...available.aspx

and here:

http://www.microsoft.com/visualstudi...-studio-update

where you can read much more on the Update for VS 2012.

Cheers,

Imar
