Default Beginning Java 2 v1.3 errors list?

Hi. Could anyone tell me pls where I could get the errata for this book? Is this a good book for an absolute beginner to start on, or should I get v1.4?
Thanks for your help.

I am doing version JDK 1.3, in September 2004 Wiley publishers will bring out version SDK 1.5, they say...

Important is to get the basics right, and if you read the API documentation that comes with the SDK on the side (as you always must!!) version 1.3 of the book will do fine in teaching you the basics of Java programming.
But Java changes, and with the SDK1.5 we get "generic objects" which is quite basic stuff, as C++ programmers know.

The Errata are not necessary upto the "Utilities" chapter 10, which has some grave errors, I found out.

I hope you will start the endeavour!
Good luck
