Smile Please One Advice from you

Hey every body, first I am a new guy here, I hope It will be a useful forum for me.
I started to learn programing, I raed JavaScript Step by Step book and it was not bad and now I just started this book 4th edition and I know It's gonna be enjoyable and kinda easy for me, but the question I had to know
- can I work with database from javaScript and HTML only, or i have to lean PHP for that reason?

- when i am done form javascript 4th edition soon, Is it gonna be good enough about javascript, so i can start PHP, or it's better to complet javascript with other book,
I hope you understand my question, thanks

Yes, the best route at this point if you want to do a lot of database work is to get into PHP and use it with MySQL or something similar. And you should be ready for a good Beginning PHP book like this:

Right. JavaScript runs on the client (web browser) your database is going to be on the server. You need PHP (or some other language that can communicate with the server) to bridge from the client to the db. You may use JavaScript together with PHP but you'll still need some PHP.
