Default How to be a Game Programmer & Animator

Hi,
I was 3ds Max Animator but i feel that i want to be a programmer that uses visual c++ for writing the programs for Plug-ins for max...! First , I go to university that learn us Computer Hardware and now they are learning us Thomas Mathematic Books and Rosen Discreet Mathematics and its applications and Holiday Physics and some other books about religions and physical educations and Physics Lab and Woking by Iron ...!!?
That`s so funny... I thought that if i go to university it will help me to find my way but now i am so sad and i cannot work well by My c++ and 3dsmax and i am so sad and i asleep so ...!
What should i read for arriving to my goal and how can be so happy.
Please Help Me !!!
