I am having a problem with connecting to the server because when I attempt to change the password, I receive this message:

#1045 - Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO) .

I screwed up the password entrance before and entered passwords for all the fields rather than just the ones that had all privileges. I uninstalled XAMPP in hopes of being able to reset my password.
Now it won't even let me enter a password at all.
On the bottom right corner of the access denied page, it says "Open new phpMyAdmin" window. I did this and made new passwords, but the server still didint connect.

I'd love for any help. This is extremely frustrating.
