Default chapter 2 getting started

right off the bat in chapter two (page 23 to be exact)

steps 1, 2 and 3 tell you how to open a new project in eclipse (which i've never used before) step 3 more specifically tells you what the dialog boxes are meant for but doesn't tell you what to type, i assume this is no problem for "Project Name" and "application name" and "Min SKD Version(which i assume is just a # corosponding to the android release)"

but under "Package name" it doesn't give any help in what to put there and it seems to require something specific and i don't know what it is, Eclipse states "Package name must have at least two identifiers" when i start to type anything into the field and will not let me continue without.

can someone please tell me what to put here and what it means?

i have SOME programing experience, Java in highschool and C/C++ in College (last semester) i picked this up for a hobbie as i REALLY have some programs i would like to write for android once i know how but does this book already assume i know EVERYTHING about java? do i need to get a Java book first, learn that, THEN start this? or is my highschool experience enough? (i took 3 classes and in the very end we just barely touched on GUI)

please help an admitedly newby newb out :)

Apologies -- I'll try and provide more detail in the next revision.

I answered a similar question in this post. Hopefully that answers you question?

If not, ping me on this thread and I'll try to explain in more detail.
